Choosing the right material
Children's skin is more sensitive: favour soft cotton, organic cotton and textiles certified OEKO‑TEX, tested against harmful substances. More information in eco‑responsible textile labels.
Sizes
Children's sizes are often expressed by age (3-4 years, 5-6 years…) or in centimetres. Children grow fast: for use over a whole school year, allow one size up.
Safety
- Avoid parts that can come off on toddler clothing.
- For school trips, a bright colour helps spot the group.
- Choose soft markings that don't itch.
Which technique?
- DTF : colourful designs, photos, ideal for one-off items.
- Flex : names and numbers, one child = one name.
- Embroidery : name embroidered on a sweatshirt or bib, very durable.
