Material labels
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)
The reference label for organic cotton. It requires a majority of certified organic fibres and also covers processing: permitted chemicals, wastewater treatment, social criteria. It's one of the most comprehensive labels.
OCS (Organic Content Standard)
It certifies the presence and traceability of organic fibres in a product, but does not cover chemical or social manufacturing criteria.
GRS and RCS (Global / Recycled Claim Standard)
They certify the recycled content, for example polyester from plastic bottles. GRS adds environmental and social requirements; RCS is limited to traceability of the recycled material.
The health label
OEKO‑TEX Standard 100
It guarantees the textile has been tested against a list of harmful substances. It's a safety label for the skin, not an ecological label: an OEKO‑TEX textile is not necessarily organic or recycled. It is particularly relevant for children's and baby clothes.
Labels on working conditions
Fair Wear
Fair Wear supports brands committed to improving working conditions in their garment factories, with audits and monitoring. It's a brand‑level commitment, not a product‑by‑product certification.

How to apply it to your order
- Ask us for the certified versions of the items that interest you: labels are indicated by the manufacturers.
- Choose a thick, durable textile: clothing worn for a long time is still the most effective choice.
- Order the right quantities: no minimum on a wide range of textiles, you top up later rather than overstock.
To go further: choose personalised garments in organic cotton.
