Embossing and debossing your logo

A heated plate presses the logo into the material: it appears recessed (debossing) or raised (embossing), without ink. A discreet, elegant finish, much appreciated on notebooks and leather goods.

How it works in the workshop

  1. The plate

A plate is produced from your logo.

  2. The setup

Temperature and pressure are adjusted to the material.

  3. Pressing

The logo is pressed into the cover.

  4. Quality control

    Each piece is checked.

The principle in a diagram

123
  1. Engraved and heated plate A metal plate reproduces your logo; it is heated and set according to the material.
  2. Debossing: the logo recessed The plate presses the material (leather, faux, board): the logo sinks in, without ink, tone on tone.
  3. Embossing: the logo raised With a counter plate, the material is pushed upwards: the logo stands out in relief.

Relief rather than colour

Embossing and debossing play on the material and light rather than on ink. The logo is visible and can be felt by touch: a subtle marking that enhances a notebook or a faux-leather accessory.
