How it works in the workshop
The printing
The logo is printed in colour on an adhesive backing.
The cut
The backing is cut to the desired shape.
The resin
A drop of clear resin is applied.
The application
The dome is applied to the item.
The principle in a diagram
- Printing The logo is printed in colour on a self-adhesive vinyl.
- Cut The vinyl is cut to the exact shape of the logo or a badge.
- Resin A drop of transparent polyurethane resin is applied over the entire surface.
- The domed effect As it dries, the resin forms a raised lens: glossy, flexible and protective.
A colour logo that catches the light
Doming gives the logo a raised, glossy dome. It suits small formats where a more premium finish is desired than simple printing: keyrings, badges, plates or accessories.
